Find Your Inner Cabaret Star
🪶 This course is for anyone who enjoys the cabaret style of entertainment, wants to know more about it and to try it out for themselves.
No experience of performing is necessary or knowledge of cabaret.
Course Content
The course content is centred around the cabaret form, its history and how to do it yourself.
There are 1 workshop and a final performance. The workshops have been held monthly and open to joining in when you can.
Workshop promoter: Saturday 31st May/10-12 – Ways to get work and promote yourself in the cabaret world in the U.K. as well as a dress rehearsal for the final performance.
Cabaret Star – this is your chance to shine alongside professionals from the cabaret scene in London. There will be up to 5 min solo slot, unless you prefer to work in a group or only the final group song.
Final performance is for friends & family – tickets will be available for free to each participant. We will learn a group song and this song will be sung with a backing track at the end of the show. We will have some professional performers joining us at this show, including Shirley Knot the Siren (aka Debbie Bridge) as your host for the evening.
Email if you have any specific disabilities that you are concerned may hinder your participation in this workshop. There is wheelchair access to the venue.
